FAQs - Permanent makeup
Permanent Makeup sessions usually take about 2-4 hours, if you add the commute time, you might be away from home or work for about 4-5 hours. So consider arranging with your boss or colleagues or talking with someone to take care of your child.
Questions to think about before you come in...
What do you like most about your current brows?
What is your occupation (Will big and bold be okay for work)?
What are your biggest brow struggles?
What do you do to your brows on a daily basis?
Do you like a natural or bolder brow?
not a question...but go through pinterest and find some brows that you love, bring them as references.
No questions are silly
Permanent Makeup FAQs
What should I avoid before my permanent session?
You should avoid using any medications or food supplements that will dilute your blood. Thus, avoid taking any blood diluting medicines such as Niacin, ibuprofen and aspirin at least 24 hours before your treatment.
DO NOT:
-Wax, pick, tint, tweeze, or electrolyze your eyebrows a week before microblading appointment.
-Botox your face three weeks before your appointment.
-Use any product to peel off your facial skin (AHAs, BHAs, Peels etc) two weeks before your appointment.
-Sit under direct sunlight or take a sunbath two weeks before your appointment.
Is permanent makeup actually permanent?
Short answer, no.
In most cases it will start to fade after 9-18 months depending on what you have done. It may take years to fully disappear from the skin. In some very rare cases it will be permanent but this is very rare.
This is why we recommend getting touch ups done as it starts to fade (generally 9 months ish ).
What is the healing process like? I've heard they go really dark?
Great question. Everyone is different but for the most part it takes approximately 7-14 days for your brows to heal and then a further few weeks to completely settle. For most people it goes along the lines of :
DAY 1: Treatment day. Sharp and bold
DAY 2: Brows start to get darker and bolder
DAY 3: Brows get darker again (don't panic)
DAY 4: Scabs start forming
DAY 5-7: Still quite dark and scabs may start falling off - DON'T PICK
DAY 7-10: Look a little patchy, but lighter
DAY 10+ start to look 'normal'

Do I design my brow shape or can you help me?
When you come in we will sit down and talk all things PMU (permanent makeup) .
What do you love?
What would you like to enhance?
Do you want a high arch? low arch? long tail? short tail? etc.
I will then map (draw an outline) of the brow shape in pencil on your face. From here you can tell me what you love or what you want to change. Everything is done together. I will help design a brow that suits your face and still looks natural, with you fully in control of everything.
How long will my new brows last?
Every person is different, but generally speaking 15-20 months for microblading, 12-24 months for nano brows or lip blushing. I recommend getting your brows or lips touched up every 9-18 months to keep them crisp and pigmented. When you see your strokes or colour fading , it’s time to book in for touch ups.
Can I wear makeup on the day of treatment?
You can, but please be aware I will be cleaning the entire treatment area and all makeup will be removed.
Can I get permanent makeup done while pregnant?
The short answer is no. No tests have been done (or can legally be done) on ink interaction with the baby, therefore I do not feel comfortable doing any microblading on a pregnant woman. There are also a host of reasons such as increased blood flow, increased hormones which increase pain, increased risk of infection and use of numbing cream.
